The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Bohol Provincial Office will host the annual Sandugo OTOP Trade Expo from July 17-22, 2024, at the Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. This collaborative event involves the Provincial Government of Bohol, the City Government of Tagbilaran, the Alturas Group of Companies, and Island City Mall.
In its 16th year, the expo will showcase an innovative range of locally-made products crafted by artisans using indigenous materials and designs. The event will highlight items supporting the tourism industry, travel retail market, and export market, including gifts, decor, housewares, furniture, furnishings, fashion accessories, and processed foods. The expo will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The opening ceremony on July 17, 2024, at the Island City Mall Activity Center, will feature DTI national officials including ASec Grace F. Baluyan of the DTI Regional Coordinating Office and USec Maria Cristina A. Roque of the DTI MSME Development Group. Over the years, the Sandugo OTOP Trade Expo has become a premier platform for promoting local products, attracting exhibitors from Bohol, neighboring provinces, and various regions across the Philippines. This year’s expo will host 140 exhibitors. A special highlight will be the showcase of new products from 17 Boholano entrepreneurs who participated in a product development program with the Design Center of the Philippines under the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program. These innovative products will be featured in a Special Setting on the upper ground floor of the Island City Mall. The organizers aim to surpass the PhP18 Million sales achieved at last year’s expo.
