Tagbilaran welcomes new COP in Turnover Ceremony

The Tagbilaran City Police Station (TCPS) held a Turnover of Command and Assumption Ceremony on July 6, 2024, at the Saulog Gym, Tagbilaran City.

The ceremony marked the official transfer of leadership from outgoing Chief of Police PLtCol Homobuno Sayon to the newly appointed Chief of Police, PLtCol John Kareen Escober.

City Mayor Jane Yap served as the guest of honor and speaker at the event, emphasizing the importance of leadership and continuity in maintaining peace and order in Tagbilaran City.

“Strong and decisive leadership in our police force ensures the safety and security of our community. We are grateful for the leadership and service of PLtCol Sayon and I am confident that under PLtCol Escober’s command, this tradition of excellence will continue,” Mayor Yap stated.

The ceremony was also graced by Provincial Director PCol Lorenzo Batuan of the Bohol Provincial Police Office, who commended the TCPS for its outstanding performance and dedication to public service.

PLtCol John Kareen Escober, the incoming Chief of Police, pledged his commitment to upholding the values and principles of the Philippine National Police.

The Turnover of Command and Assumption Ceremony concluded with a sense of renewed commitment and unity among the members of the Tagbilaran City Police Station, as they welcomed their new leader and looked forward to continuing their mission of ensuring peace and order in the city.
