BSAAA GETS SUPPORTS

The Bohol Schools Amateur Amateur Athletic Association (BSAAA), the longest running inter school basketball tournament here gets supports worldwide.

Basketball enthusiasts who traced roots from Bohol have sent pledges and donations to make the hoop challenge livelier as ever this year. 

Now on its 29th season, the BSAAA continues its grassroots commitment to develop and promote the programs to the 12 & under; 14 & under; 17 & under; girls; and the Senior High Schools aspiring basketball hopefuls.

The tournament moves around the entire first congressional district of the province as they implement the grassroots basketball programs to attract more potentials of their involvement.

Among the early donors and supporters were: Benjie Bollozos of U.S.A.; Remigio Mutia Inting of U.S.A.; Efren Jungao of Dubai; Antonio Gines Namoc of Metro Manila; Alberto Nini of the U.S.A.; Vice Mayor Adam Relson Jala; Fr. Andy Mutia Inting of Metro Manila; heirs of Mario Fortich, Jr.; Harry Plaza of Canada; Ida Nisnisan of Australia; Atty. Jordan Pizarras of Makati; Engr. Roberto Parras of the U.S.A.;  Leo Lim of Tagbilaran City; City Councilor Jonas Revil Cacho; Asoh Mutia Inting of the U.S.A.; Roy Angelo Jala of the U.S.A.; Socorro Parras of the U.S.A.; Ricky Mutia Inting of the U.S.A.

The tournament has sent many to the big time basketball. And among them were Ian Vince  of Holy Spirit School who is now with Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MBPL); Iven Hoofer Cardinas of Holy Infant School, now with the Ateneo de Cebu; and the latest was Gian Aldrin Chua of Holy Spirit School, now with University of San Jose Recoletos and team Philippines. He is the son of Gilbert & Ann Aurens Karajan Chua..

The 29th Bohol Schools Amateur Athletic Association (BSAAA) will reel off sometimes on  September.
