WATER SEARCH AND RESCUE (WASAR) TRAINING. Municipality of Loon Mayor Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos (inset, upper left corner) reveals that the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by Engr. Marina M. Loquinte; and the the Alliance of Loonanon Advocates for Good Governance and Democracy (ALAGAD), under Jackie Jean Moria, with Loon SKMF officers; spearheaded a Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Training on July 15 – 19, 2024 at the Tubig-Loon Spring Park. The 5-day grueling activity was conducted in coordination with the BFP R7 Loon Fire Station under F/Insp Catalino R. Giangan and the BFP Office of the Provincial Fire Marshall – Bohol headed by F/Supt Raul G Bustaliño.The goal of the training is to obtain the necessary skills to search and rescue in the sea, rivers, lakes, in regions and areas that are experiencing floods and, in general, wherever water is a hazard to human life and population.
