Tubigon LGU FB Post announces that Tubigon Mayor William Jao  (inset, upper left corner) led the July 30, 2024, LGU-Tubigon Observance of the 10th World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. The activity was conducted to raise awareness about the RA 9208 which constitutes policies to eliminate the devastating human trafficking especially women and children. One of the highlights in the activity was the on-the-spot mural painting contest among high school students on July 29, 2024. Following are the winners of the Mural Painting Contest: 1st Prize – Mater Dei College, High School Department; 2nd Prize – Salus Institute of Technology; 3rd Prize – Tubigon West Central High School; and 4th Prize – Holy Cross Academy. The mural paintings are now displayed at the Tubigon Municipal Plaza for everyone to see and appreciate. The post also said: “Tackling this societal issue requires a multifaceted approach which means the government, civil society organizations, law enforcers, and each individual must work together since much is needed to be done.” This year’s theme of the celebration is “Leave No Child Behind in the Fight Against Human Trafficking”.  Contributed photo
