VBT JR Sports Complex opens to public, sets guidelines

In  pursuit of promoting physical fitness among Boholanos of  all ages,  the University of Bohol has formally opened the Victoriano B. Tirol Jr. Sports Complex to the public. Located at the VDT ALC Campus in Taloto District, Tagbilaran City, this new facility aims to meet the growing demand for sports and fitness amenities in the region, complementing the existing CPG Sports Complex.

The informal opening event gathered university employees for a preliminary jog and walk around the oval, illuminated  by LED lights.  This recent development underscores the university’s commitment to fostering a healthy lifestyle and providing the community with state-of-the art fitness facilities.

Guidelines for the use of the sports complex are posted on the university’s Facebook account, other social media platforms, and at  the facilities and university campuses. This ensures that all visitors and guests  can enjoy the amenities safely and responsibly. For inquiries, you may contact the UB Main Campus Finance Office and the UB VDTALC Finance Office. The VBT Jr.  Sports Complex is named after Dr. Victoriano Belarmino Tirol, Jr., who served as UB’s third University President. Dr. Tirol also held the esteemed positions of Regional Director of Department of Education and National President of the Public School Teachers and Employees Association (PSTEA). (Leo Armando B.
