Mayor Yap donates gallons of paint for Brigada Eskwela in Tagbilaran

In a significant show of support for education, Mayor Jane Yap donated gallons of paint to various public elementary and high schools in Tagbilaran City as part of the annual Brigada Eskwela program.

This initiative took place from July 22-29, 2024, and saw the active involvement of the community in preparing schools for the new academic year.

City Mayor Jane Yap, known for her dedication to education and youth empowerment, personally turned over the gallons of paint in different public schools in the city as they prepared for the upcoming school year.

Schools that received the donation include Tiptip Elementary School, Ubujan Elementary School, Taloto National High School, Taloto Elementary School, Booy South Elementary School, Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School (DCPNHS) Junior High School, Tagbilaran City Central School SPED Center, Eastern Cogon Elementary School, Mansasa Elementary School, Mansasa National High School, Bool Elementary School, Cabawan Elementary School, DCPNHS Senior High School Cabawan Campus, Manga Elementary School, and Cogon Night High School.

The Brigada Eskwela initiative, a nationwide voluntary effort, encourages stakeholders to contribute their time, effort, and resources to prepare public school facilities for the upcoming school year.

Mayor Yap emphasized the importance of this program, stating, “Our commitment to providing quality education extends beyond academics. By supporting Brigada Eskwela, we are ensuring that our students have a welcoming and inspiring environment to return to.”

The City Government’s donation of gallons of paint will enable these schools to carry out necessary repairs and beautification projects, fostering a positive atmosphere for both students and educators.

This gesture reflects the administration’s dedication to supporting education and improving the overall quality of public school facilities in Tagbilaran City.
