IBP-BOHOL TO LAUNCH CORPORATE LAWYERING AND TRIAL ACADEMY
One of the objectives of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (“IBP”) is to elevate the standards of the legal profession. To meet this objective, IBP-Bohol is launching Lex Athenaeum: Corporate Lawyering and Trial Academy. The same aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of lawyers and to add value to their profession.
For the inaugural edition of Lex Athenaeum, IBP-Bohol Chapter will partner with Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (“DHSUD”) and Human Settlement Adjudication Commission (“HSAC”) for a Housing and Real Estate Development Regulation and Human Settlement Adjudication Summit on 21 September 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at MetroCentre Hotel and Convention Center, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The Summit aims to orient lawyers on the creation of DHSUD and HSAC by virtue of Republic Act No. 11201 dated 14 February 2019 and their respective mandates and jurisdictions. Furthermore, this partnership aims to orient lawyers and their clients, who are real estate developers, executives and practitioners, with the relevant housing and real estate development regulation as well as dispute resolution and adjudication, particularly pleading, practice and procedure before the Regional Adjudicator and HSAC Commission Proper.
The invited Keynote Speaker is DHSUD Undersecretary Atty. Avelino D. Tolentino III, and the confirmed Speakers are the following: Atty. Lyndon D. Juntilla, DHSUD Region VII Regional Director, Atty. Joe Vinson M. Empaces, HSAC Region VII OIC-Chief Regional Adjudicator, and HSAC’s head honcho, Executive Commissioner Atty. Melzar P. Galicia.
