On July 31, 2024, as a culmination activity for the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), a seminar was conducted for the youth especially for the SPES Babies. The seminar was entitled “Understanding Mental Health, Resilience and Self-care” and its aim was for the participants to learn and recognize the theoretical knowledge about what mental illness is apply their skills in assisting those who need it. The said seminar was organized by the Lila PESO Manager, Lovella A. Dahiroc (seated, extreme right) in coordination with the town’s Municipal Health Officer Dr. Niña Madelaine C. Blanes (seated, 2nd from left). Each delivered a message to all the SPES babies. Lila Municipal Vice-Mayor Regina Salazar also graced the event and gave an inspirational message, as well as Executive Assistant II, Ivy D. Oclari (seated, extreme left). The latter gave the welcome message on behalf of our Municipal Mayor, Atty. Arturo A. Piollo II (inset, upper left corner). Mr. Bohol Dagohoy 2024, Jose Emmanuel Plaza, whose advocacy centers on Mental Health, was also in attendance together with the Lila Local Youth Development Officer, Ms. Marielle Valerie Niña Silagan. The members of the organizing committee would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the Speaker, Mr. Jefrey N. Tungol (seated, 2nd from right), RPm, CPS, PSF, President and Founder of Heartstrong Trainings and Consultancy Inc., for sharing his wisdom and expertise on Mental Health with the SPES babies.
