Marilyn S. Lungay Celebrates 65th Birthday in Style Thursday, July 25, 2024

Happy Birthday, Marilyn!

A grand celebration took place at the Le-Eng Function Hall of the Bohol Tropics Resort as Marilyn S. Lungay marked her 65th birthday. The event, which began at 6:30 p.m., was a delightful gathering of family, friends, and well-wishers. As the curtain unfolded the start of the celebration, more guests arrived and were warmly welcomed by the Lungay family.

Marilyn’s husband, Pablito Lungay, and their children — Paul Christian Lungay and Mae Elizabeth Lungay — were present to celebrate the occasion. Although John Paul Lungay could not attend, as he lives in Singapore with his family, April and son Kendric Paul Zane, and Quennie Lungay-Snijder (who resides in Vienna, Austria with her husband Martin), were also unable to join. But their heartfelt video messages added a deeply emotional touch to the celebration.

The grand entrance of the birthday celebrator, Marilyn Senador Lungay, was set to the upbeat rhythm of “Stayin’ Alive,” setting a lively tone for the evening. Following the grand entrance, guests enjoyed a delectable dinner, enhanced by presentations from special guests from Cebu and the Barn Family. The evening continued with a heartfelt offering led by Mae Elizabeth Lungay, including a toast, cake cutting, and video messages from John Paul Lungay and his family, as well as from Quennie Lungay-Snijder and her husband Martin. The event also featured a touching oath-taking ceremony by the officers of Barrio Luz Elementary School (BLES) Class of ‘72.

The second part of the evening brought a burst of energy with the opening of a dance contest. Marilyn herself took to the floor, dancing to Michael Bublé’s “Sway,” and set the stage for an exciting dance competition. The contest featured several categories including Cha-Cha, Boogie, Tango, and Swing, with dance instructors helping to determine the winners.

Guests also engaged in a fun game of “Name the Tune & the Singer,” featuring five selected songs. The evening culminated in the awarding of prizes, recognizing the outstanding dancers as Disco King and Queen, followed by the distribution of prizes to the winners of the dance contest.

The evening closed with a sense of joy and celebration, marking a memorable 65th birthday for Marilyn S. Lungay. The event was a beautiful testament to her life and achievements, surrounded by those who cherish and admire her.

Gloria Leodivica I. Araneta of “SMILE”, Philippines, brought vibrance to the celebration as she hosted the event.

Again, Happy Birthday, Marlyn!
