Truly appreciated!” Reports say that Day 2 was held on Aug. 23, 2024. The summit was called by the Department of the Interior and Local Government with Secretary Benhur Abalos at the helm in partnership with ULAP led by Governor Daks Cua. Mayor Chatto continued by saying: “Woke up very early at 4:30 to be on time for 7am call time for Day 2 of the LG Summit. I thought I was early at 6:30 am. There were so many who came much ahead of me. More than 3000 local leaders and functionaries gathered at the PICC for the LG Summit with the theme LGUs sa Bagong Pilipinas Smart Resilient and Driven. It was a very successful, informative and insightful summit! From the singing of Lupang Hinirang to the reciting of the Pledge of Commitment, I was there! The future is local.
