TAGBILARAN CITY – A massive haul of suspected shabu worth P34 million was seized by authorities in a buy-bust operation on September 9, 2024, in Dampas, Tagbilaran City.
The suspect, identified as Robert Terro, 42, was arrested after a poseur buyer pretended to purchase a kilo of alleged shabu from him.
The operation was conducted by a joint team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Maritime Police, and Tagbilaran City Police Office.
According to authorities, Terro had been under surveillance for some time due to his alleged involvement in high-value transactions.
PDEA suspects that he is linked to a Cebu-based drug cartel.
Seized from Terro were four blocks of suspected shabu placed inside a teabag, as well as a vehicle used by him.
He is currently in custody, and charges are being prepared against him.
Multiple Buy-Bust Operations
In separate incidents, several buy-bust operations were conducted in various parts of Bohol, resulting in the arrest of several drug suspects.
In Guindulman, a 36-year-old man was arrested on September 9, 2024, after a buy-bust operation yielded alleged shabu estimated to weigh 0.24 grams and valued at P1,000.
A .45 caliber pistol with two live ammunition was also seized from the suspect.
In Calape, a 49-year-old man was arrested on September 11, 2024, after a buy-bust operation yielded alleged shabu with a total estimated weight of 0.25 grams and valued at P1,700.
In Tagbilaran City, two drug suspects were arrested on September 11, 2024, after a buy-bust operation yielded alleged shabu weighing 10 grams and valued at P68,000.
In another incident, a 36-year-old man was arrested on September 11, 2024, after a buy-bust operation in Ubujan, Tagbilaran City, yielded several packets containing alleged shabu with an estimated weight of 10 grams and valued at P68,000.
All the suspects are currently in police custody and will soon face charges of violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In a separate report, Camp Dagohoy announced that they had arrested 21 personalities in a week-long operation against drugs, from August 26 to September 8, 2024.
The operations resulted in the confiscation of over P700,000 worth of alleged shabu.
The police conducted 18 anti-drug operations across the province, leading to the arrest of 21 persons.
Moreover, 55 suspects were arrested in anti-illegal gambling operations, with over P3,000 in bet money seized.
In a related development, 34 operations against loose firearms were conducted, resulting in the surrender of 24 firearms and the arrest of eight individuals, with several rounds of ammunition confiscated.
