According to the mayor, this was done sa mga Kanal, Esteros, ug Kadagatan “in order to attain the sustainability and continuity of the Project HAW-AS, which aims to prevent flooding in highly-urbanized cities and support the objectives of the PNP’s Critical Incident Management Operational Procedures (CIMOP).” The mayor also said: On September 21, 2024 at 06:00 AM, the Philippine National Police personnel of Sikatuna Municipal Police Station participated in the coastal clean-up drive activity through cleaning or removing wastes in canals, plaza, highways, major streets and other public places.
