An unknown candidate has filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for the mayoralty of Candijay, Bohol.
According to reports from radio station DYRD, Edgar Torralba submitted his COC on October 1, 2024, throwing his hat into the ring for the top post in the town.
Torralba’s move comes after incumbent Mayor Thamar Olaivar announced that she would not seek re-election for a second term.
Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Christopher Tutor’s plans remain unclear, with speculation that he may opt to run for re-election as vice mayor, although no confirmation has been made.
Torralba’s candidacy has added a new twist to the town’s mayoral race, which is expected to heat up in the coming weeks.
