The Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) program benefits more first district constituents. Cong. Edgar Chatto led the distribution of cash assistance in continuing simultaneous payouts across the first district.

The latest batch of beneficiaries included qualified barangay health workers (BHW) and barangay nutrition scholars (BNS) of the first district.

Chattos office closely coordinated with BHW municipal chapter presidents led by their Provincial President Judith Bonhayag, BNS representatives and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) led by team leader Jimmy Crusio in the implementation of the program.

Chatto recognized the crucial role of BHWs and BNS at the forefront of primary health care and nutrition service delivery in the community.

He lauded their dedicated efforts despite receiving less compensation for the work that they do.

The initiative is a continuing program that was launched last May 18, simultaneous with the nationwide launching.

This is in line with efforts of President Bongbong Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez to support low income workers who are affected by the high price of commodities.

Day care workers in the first district are set to receive the cash assistance next.
