Town News-MARIBOJOC

The Maribojoc LGU Bohol FB Post said: “On October 23, 2024, the Municipality of Maribojoc made another significant step in uplifting the communities, particularly in Barangay Candavid. Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado (4th from left), Mayor Romulo Manuta (4th from right), Vice Mayor Emilio Castilla (3rd from right), Board Member Lucille Lagunay (3rd from left), and Executive Assistant Bebot Sumampong (extreme left), personally delivered P440,000 in support to Barangay Candavid. A portion of the funds, amounting to P240,000, was handed over to the Punong Barangay Lemuel Barbarona and the barangay officials. This represents the sand and gravel share collected from October to December 2023 and January to March 2024. This will be used for key infrastructure projects in the barangay. In addition to this, P200,000 from the Governor’s Office was allocated to aid the ongoing barangay road concreting project, which will provide safer and more accessible routes for the residents of Candavid. For the first time, the barangay was visited by the Governor himself, a gesture that signifies the importance of improving the conditions of even the most remote areas in Maribojoc. On top of these efforts, another P500,000 has been set aside for programs benefiting our senior citizens, ensuring that no one is left behind as we continue to build a better future for our communities. We thank PB Lemuel Barbarona for the warm welcome and the officials who continue to push for progress in Barangay Candavid.” Contributed photo
