Tagbilaran City, Bohol – In a heartfelt show of unity and advocacy, the Bohol Medical Society, Piskay Clinic, the Provincial Government of Bohol, and the Tagbilaran City Government will come together on December 1, 2024, to celebrate World AIDS Day through a dazzling event titled “Threads of Hope” Fashion Show for a Cause. This year’s theme, “Take the Rights Path,” underscores the importance of equality, inclusion, and access to health services in the global fight against HIV/AIDS.

The centerpiece of the evening will be a spectacular fashion showcase featuring creations by the renowned La’Doie Couture, with designs brought to life by beauty titleholders, Queens of Bohol, and a special lineup of guest doctor models. Each ensemble will highlight resilience, hope, and solidarity in addressing the ongoing challenges posed by HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Anecito Pobar III, World AIDS Day 2024 Committee Chair, shared the vision of the event:

“The fight against HIV/AIDS is more than just medical—it’s about breaking barriers, promoting awareness, and fostering compassion. This event allows us to merge art and advocacy, inspiring others to take the rights path.”
