CLEC 2 COMPOSITE SEABORNE PATROL SAFEGUARDS MUNICIPAL WATERS OF CORTES, MARIBOJOC, LOON AND CALAPE FROM ILLEGAL FISHING AND DESTRUCTIVE ACTIVITIES. Municipality of Loon Mayor and CLEC 2 Chairperson, Elvi Peter L. Relampagos (inset, upper right corner) reveals that the Coastal Law Enforcement Council (CLEC) Cluster 2, composed of the municipalities of Cortes, Maribojoc, Loon and Calape, has unified a composite seaborne patrol composed of the PNP, Bantay Dagat and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Loon Sub-Station. The CLEC 2 unified composite seaborne patrol team operates and safeguards the coastal municipal waters of Cortes, Maribojoc, Loon and Calape from illegal fishers in a wide dragnet twice a month. However, the regular Bantay Dagat coastal law enforcers of each municipality operates 24/7 (night and day) in their respective areas of operation (AORs) dedicated to protecting the coastal waters from illegal fishing and destructive activities, ensuring maritime security, and preserving marine resources.
