On December 10, 2024, Maribojoc, once again, made its mark in local governance excellence as Mayor Romulo Manuta (in photo) and former Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Corazon Evangelista received the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) National Award on behalf of the municipality. The award, conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), recognizes municipalities that uphold integrity and transparency in public service while delivering outstanding performance in key governance areas. Maribojoc achieved high scores in the SGLG’s rigorous evaluation criteria, including financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business-friendliness, and environmental management. As Maribojoc celebrates this milestone, Mayor Manuta calls for continued collaboration among stakeholders to maintain the municipality’s commitment to good governance and sustainable development.
