This edition of VOX POPULI is featuring the netizens’ reactions, responses and comments to the statement posted on the FB wall of the Managing Editor of The Bohol Tribune. The statement is about the excessive use of mobile phone by both the young and not so young in the community.
The statement is: “Kasagaran sa atong mga katawhan na ‘addict’ na gyud sa mga mobile phones. Angay ba kining sumpoon? Unsay may paagi aron makunhuran ang paggamit niini? (Most of our people are really ‘addicted’ to mobile phones. Should it be suppressed? What is the best bway to reduce its use?)”

∙ from Emma Migrino Waterman: They take away phones when they are in school. They are provided with Chrome books for studies/lessons so they can’t use the computer for anything except school work. Not sure if they do that in Pinas. Alex doesn’t bring his phone at bedtime, and he has to ask permission to use apps or has time limit for using it. HS might be a challenge tho. For now, he is obedient. Scared of offending his dad!
