The Balita sa Katawhan FB Post announced that Buenavista Mayor Dave Duallo (inset, upper left corner) is one of the Top 10 Bohol’s Best Mayors in Public Service & Participatory Governance (Year-Ender Report), as announced on January 9, 2025. An Independent & Non-Commissioned Bayan Serbisyo at Kaunlaran Advocates for Participatory Governance and Accountability (BSK Advocates) successfully completed its provincial survey from December 12 – 23 2024 for all Mayors and Vice Mayors of Bohol for their overall performance. The post said: “The ratings and rankings are greatly dependent on their job performances. The expectations and duties of the Mayors are extensive that encompass several roles of a local Chief Executive such as: supervise and implement all policies and programs, projects, and services of the LGU; enforce all laws and ordinances in relation to the governance of the municipality; initiate and maximize the generation of resources and revenues and use these for implementing plans; and most importantly, address and respond to the problems and challenges of their respective towns. Those who ranked no. 1, 2 and 3 in their province should be recognized and commended for performing well. The ‘BSK Advocates Public Satisfaction Survey’ conducted by an Independent and Non-Commissioned Bayan Serbisyo at Kaunlaran Advocates for Participatory Governance and Accountability regional survey and performed per district/municipality in entire province with a total of 7,500 respondents and were asked, ‘Do you approve or disapprove of the way [name of Mayor/Vice Mayor] is handling his/her job as (Mayor/Vice Mayor)?’.
