The Tubigon Isles and Mainland Homeowners Association, Inc. (TIMHOA) expressed strong support for Cong. Edgar Chatto.
The organization of island barangay residents led by president Mary Queen Cajegas formally endorsed their support for the candidacy of Chatto in an Executive Committee Resolution No. 002-2025 which they handed during their 3rd general assembly on February 18, 2025.
They cited Chatto’s track record of commitment to public service and a deep understanding of the needs of the people of Tubigon.
The group expressed the same support to TubigonVice Mayor Rene Villaber who is running for mayor in place of incumbent Mayor William Jao who is completing his third term.
Chatto along with Jao and Villaber had worked together for a resettlement project for island residents affected by sea level rise and threatened by extreme weather disturbances due to climate change.
Chatto, for his part, thanked the TIMHOA community for their support and their cooperation as he sought continued cooperation in the implementation of the resettlement project.
He had facilitated initial funding of P50 Million to begin civil works for the project and lobbying for additional funding for its completion up until phase 3.
Chatto as chair of the Climate Change Committee had also previously partnered with the Bohol Nature Conservation Society, Greenpeace Philippines and Rice Watch Action Network on the Bohol Climate Emergency Response Roadmap for Small Islands that involved the island barangays in Tubigon.
