From Star Cinema comes another romantic comedy about a woman cursed to make every man she loves disappears, “My Love Will Make You Disappear” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.  

          Kim Chiu and Paul Avelino headline the romantic film following their successful work together in the TV drama series “Linlang” and the Philippine adaptation of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” marking their first feature collaboration. Chiu brings her box office draw from hits like “Bride for Rent” and “The Ghost Bride,” while Avelino leverages his dramatic chops from acclaimed turns in “Heneral Luna” and “Fan Girl.”

  The story follows Sari (Chiu), a woman convinced she’s cursed because every man she loves vanishes. She meets a brooding landlord Jolo (Avelino), and her supposed curse threatens their budding romance.

“MY LOVE WILL MAKE YOU DISAPPEAR” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

Hollywood action superstar Jason Statham is back on a mission to save a girl from human trafficking in David Ayer’s latest action thriller, “A Working Man”, which will premiere on Wednesday, April 2, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.  

          The action flick is based on the 2014 novel “Levon’s Trade” by Chuck Dixon, where Statham stars as Levon Cade, a former soldier turned construction worker who is trying to be a good family man after grieving the loss of his wife and attempting to get custody of their daughter. He just left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life.  

          But when his boss’s daughter, who is like a family to him, is snatched by Russian mob and sold into their sex trafficking operation, Levon must infiltrate himself into the Chicago underworld populated by the Russian mafia led by crime lord Wolo Kolisnyk. His search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined.

“A WORKING MAN” will premiere on Wednesday, April 2, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

As part of its 28th Anniversary on April 19, Plaza Marcela gives away thousands-worth of grocery packs, gift certificates, and sacks of rice to its valued customers through the on-going “Rewards Card” Raffle Promo which runs until April 19, this year.  

        Ten (10) lucky customers will win grocery packs worth P5,000 each, while another ten (10) customers will also get gift certificates worth P5,000 each. Another ten (10) winners will also bring home a 25-kilo sack of rice each. The winners will be announced during the raffle draw on April 20, at 3 PM.

A customer can get one Rewards Card for a minimum single receipt purchase worth P1,000 from the Supermarket or Fixrite Hardware; P500 from the SOD or Medicine Plus pharmacy; and P5,000 from the Wholesale Section, excluding sacks of rice. Just present the receipt at the Consumer Welfare Desk and get the Rewards Card.

        The Card has eight (8) empty slots, and each slot will earn a stamp for every required purchase. Upon completion of the eight (8) stamps, the customer will fill-up the Card with complete name, address, contact numbers, and signature; and drop it on the designated dropbox. 

         A customer can drop as many Cards as he/she can as long as the Card is complete with eight (8) stamps. A Card with incomplete stamps is considered invalid.
