The event was spearheaded by Danao Municipal Mayor Jose Cepedoza (in photo), in collaboration with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), led by Mrs. Imelda H. Gimena. Women leaders, barangay officials, and members of the Women’s Organization gathered in full force, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to advancing women’s rights and leadership. Mayor Cepedoza, alongside Sangguniang Bayan Member’s Hon. Maria Celeste Cepedoza-Lerion and Hon. Thelma T. Duavis, delivered inspiring messages emphasizing the importance of amplifying women’s voices and encouraging them to take on active roles in their communities. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), represented by SFO3 Filomeno A. Resane, also graced the event, highlighting the simultaneous observance of Fire Prevention Month and Women’s Month, reinforcing the shared responsibility of community safety and women’s empowerment. Further strengthening the celebration was the support of Gov. Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado and Congw. Maria Vanessa “Vanvan” Aumentado, represented by their esteemed delegates. Also in attendance were Board Member Jamie Villamor and Bohol League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) President Mayor Fernando “Eping” Estavilla, all of whom expressed strong advocacy for gender equality and women’s empowerment. Additionally, HRMO Head Ma’am Dahlia N. Montecina delivered a speech on the significance of women in society. Adding excitement to the celebration was the Retro Dance Contest, where participants showcased their talent, energy, and creativity. The winners were: Champion – Barangay Magtangtang; 1st Runner-Up – Barangay Dagohoy; 2nd Runner-Up – Barangay Nahud. Consolation prizes were also awarded to the rest of the participants.
