Buenavista Mayor Dave Duallo (in photo), announced the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on April 7, 2025. This MOA is about the Creation of Lubang Watershed Management Council. The mayor said: “This is a vital move to conserve, manage and protect the Lubang Watershed Area which is now the main source of water supply for Metro Buenavista. Thank you Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado and the PGBh, DENR thru PENRO & CENRO, DPWH & NIA for all the collaborative effort and assistance to establish the watershed area of about 3,156 hectares covering 21 barangays and for all the future programs and projects that aim to protect the environment and increase the water source from the watershed. Thank you also to SB Buenavista headed by Vice Mayor Elsa Daka Tirol for the inputs on the terms and conditions of the MOA and the administration of the watershed.
