The Philippine Red Cross, Bohol Chapter is now sharing with us what they do as they recognize the volunteers, and encourage more people to support humanitarian work.

The institution is rendering several kinds of services like lending a hand to help in managing effects of disaster.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT

PRC-Bohol administrator Emmanuel Pilayre mentioned the disaster management activity of the PRC together with Myrna Lambujon who is also with PRC-Bohol. She is working as an acting head of the disaster management services group.

The PRC is helping in the disaster management capacity building for various communities so that people are ready when disaster strikes.

WELFARE

The PRC is also involved in providing welfare services. The discussion was very timely as May 8 is the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.

The PRC provides a suite of services to the community including but not limited to psychosocial services, restoring family links, welfare desks, free meals, assistance to migrants among others.Other services (among others) offered by the PRC are those for: Welfare, Blood, Safety, Health, Red Cross Youth, Disaster Management, International Humanitarian Law, Red Cross 143.
