Police seized more than 3 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine worth approximately P13.9 million in three separate drug operations this week, authorities said.

Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit officers arrested Christopher Rey Agcol, also known as “Poloy,” during a buy-bust operation Monday night in Barangay Tiptip, Tagbilaran City.

Police seized more than 1 kilogram of suspected methamphetamine, also known as shabu, worth about P6.9 million.

Agcol, a resident of Barangay Bugang Norte in Pilar, sold P12,000 pesos worth of suspected drugs to an undercover officer before his arrest, police said.

Officers recovered 12 packets of suspected methamphetamine from his possession.

The suspect told police he obtained the drugs from an unidentified person at a city mall.

Agcol faces charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Intelligence agents had reportedly conducted surveillance in Barangay Bugang Sur, and Agcol’s name was mentioned during a Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council meeting.

The suspect had allegedly spent time in the barangay while being monitored by Tagbilaran City authorities.
