This edition of VOX POPULI is featuring the netizens’ reactions, responses and comments to a statement posted on the FB page of the Managing Editor of The Bohol Tribune.
The statement is related to the alleged proliferation of illegal drugs in Bohol substantiated by the volumes of alleged shabu confiscated by the police during buy bust operation.
The statement was” Talamak na gyud ang gikatahapang ginadiling droga sa atong dapit. Ma konsensya unta ang MGA PROTEKTOR! (Prohibited druges are allegedly rampant in our area. The PROTECTORS should have a conscience to stop what they are doing!)

∙ from Bong Sumatra – Judith B. Uy: Command responsibility starts at the top! If our national leaders fully supported the war on drugs, as PRRD did with leaders like Sen. Bato dela Rosa, who championed TokHang, we could stop the resurgence of drug pushing and addiction in Bohol. Local officials and PNP Provincial Directors need clear direction from above to act decisively. How can lower ranks enforce the law if the top doesn’t prioritize measures like hair follicle drug testing? Let’s demand accountability and a stronger fight against drugs!
