The Municipality of Maribojoc proudly joined the entire nation in celebrating the 127th Philippine Independence Day with a meaningful and patriotic gathering held at Plaza Rizal and in front of the Maribojoc Presidencia. The event began with a solemn flag raising ceremony, where the Philippine National Flag was simultaneously raised by Mayor Engr. Romulo A. Manuta (standing, right), Vice Mayor Engr. Emilio J. Castilla (seated, 3rd from left), the 22 Punong Barangays, and SK Chairpersons. The Bohol and Maribojoc flags were also raised by personnel from the PNP and BFP, accompanied by the heartfelt singing of the Bohol Hymn led by Mrs. Justina Arangoso and the Maribojoc Hymn led by Ms. Maria Rizalyn Ocular. It was then followed by a short program. Clad in traditional Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog, the people of Maribojoc came together to honor the sacrifices of our heroes and celebrate the freedom we continue to cherish today.
