Bohol will become a marketplace of ideas, stories and Philippine-made products as the Sandugo OTOP Trade Expo 2025 opens at Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City.

The expo runs July 15-20 with exhibit hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The public is invited to view a display of craftsmanship, culture and commerce.

The Department of Trade and Industry-Bohol Provincial Office is organizing the event with the Provincial Government of Bohol, City Government of Tagbilaran, Alturas Group of Companies and Island City Mall. This year’s OTOP (One Town, One Product) Trade Expo brings together local and national exhibitors aiming to elevate Filipino-made products to the global stage.

This year’s expo features an expanded roster of participants. Many booths feature Boholano micro, small and medium enterprises — from weaving communities and food processors to indigenous crafters and youth entrepreneurs.

The event also welcomes exhibitors from across the Philippines, creating regional diversity under one roof.

The convergence of talents and traditions offers visitors a chance to experience Bohol and the creativity of other regions — from hand-loomed textiles of Mindanao, to Ilocano handwoven baskets, to modern resin art from Visayas, and specialty food items from Luzon.

The trade expo is a national showcase for a global audience.

The expo will feature artisan bags, home décor, native kitchenware, bamboo furniture, organic beverages, cacao-based treats, wellness products and more.

Each product tells stories of tradition, innovation and community resilience.

Each product is a conversation piece about heritage, material innovation and the people behind the craft.

Visitors can interact with exhibitors, learn the stories behind the items and discover how to get involved in the local creative economy.

The Sandugo OTOP Trade Expo is a celebration of inclusive enterprise development. It provides exposure and market access for small producers, including agrarian reform communities, women’s groups, indigenous peoples, returning overseas Filipino workers and out-of-school youth supported through DTI programs.

The event underscores DTI’s commitment to building resilient local economies through product development, branding and market linkage, especially under the OTOP Next Gen Program.

The trade expo is held during the Sandugo Festival, which commemorates the blood compact of brotherhood between Datu Sikatuna and Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi.

The trade expo carries the same spirit of unity and partnership in the realm of economic empowerment and cultural pride.

The expo targets Boholanos coming home for the fiesta, tourists seeking meaningful purchases and business buyers looking for Filipino export products.

Admission is free. The event runs July 15-20, 2025, at Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City.
