LGU-LOON BOOSTS EMERENCY RESPONSE CAPABILITY WITH NEW BOOM TRUCK AND WATER TANK.  Municipality of Loon Mayor Cesar Tomas “Yul” M. Lopez, M.D. (4th from left, top photo) leads in the blessing of the newly-acquired Boom Truck and Water Tank (lower photo) as a proactive move to enhance disaster preparedness and emergency response in the municipality, an initiative under the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in a ceremony held at the Our Lady of Light Parish Church grounds on July 8, 2025. Officiated by Rev. Fr. Jonas Lubiano, the activity was attended by Vice Mayor Pedro   “Dodong” M. Literatus, Jr., municipal councilors Emerson S. Relampagos, Rainelda Merquita-Gutierrez, Loon ABC president Noel Y. Laniba, Loon MDRRMO head Edna O. Lafuente and MDRRMO staff. The acquisition of the boom truck and water tank is part of the municipality’s continuing efforts to improve its logistical capacity in times of emergency – whether for fire fighting, water distribution during droughts, post disaster clearing operations, and other crisis situations. It marks another step forward in LGU-Loon’s mission to build a safer and more resilient community for all Loonanons. Contributed photo
