“Superman”
at Screenville Cinemas
The new Superman film — the second reboot of the DC Comics film series — is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
Unlike previous versions, Superman is not an origin story. Instead, the film focuses on the early days of Superman (played by David Corenswet, Twisters) in Metropolis as he searches for the right way to use his powers for the good of Earth. At the same time, he is building his reputation as one of The Daily Planet’s top reporters.
As a young Clark Kent, he struggles to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his life on Earth. Part of this personal conflict includes the difficult choice to intervene in a foreign war, where innocent lives are being lost.
Later in the film, Clark faces his first true physical threat: the brilliant but dangerous Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult, Mad Max: Fury Road), who possesses a Kryptonite-powered weapon capable of weakening Superman.
Don’t miss this thrilling new chapter in the Superman legacy—now showing at Screenville Cinemas.

“The Fantastic Four”

The second reboot of Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four film series, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, premieres worldwide on July 23 at Screenville Cinemas in Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
Set in a vibrant, retro-futuristic 1960s-inspired world, the film reintroduces Marvel’s beloved first family: the brilliant Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), his fiancée Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), her hot-headed brother Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and their loyal friend Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). Together, they face their greatest challenge yet.
The Fantastic Four gained their powers after being exposed to cosmic radiation during a space mission—Reed can stretch his body, Sue can turn invisible, Johnny becomes a human torch, and Ben transforms into a rock-like powerhouse.
Now, they must balance their extraordinary powers with their family dynamic as they defend Earth from an apocalyptic threat: the world-devouring cosmic entity Galactus and his mysterious herald, the Silver Surfer.
