Calape, Bohol – In a significant stride towards uplifting the welfare of its fisherfolk, the Municipality of Calape formally received brand-new fishing paraphernalia under the BFAR VII Target Program 2025 during a ceremonial turnover held on August 4, 2025, at the Calape Fishport, San Isidro, Calape, Bohol. Calape Mayor Junie Yu (5th from left) led the ceremony, strengthening the livelihood of Calape’s fisherfolk through the BFAR VII support. This meaningful initiative is envisioned to fortify the livelihood of local fishermen and to bolster the growth of the fishing industry, ensuring that the seas remain an enduring source of sustenance and abundance for generations to come.
