GROUNDBREAKING FOR THE ₱168M CALAPE–PANGGANGAN ROAD PROJECT. Calape Mayor Junie Yu (standing, right) said that the long-awaited Calape–Panggangan Road Project, with a total funding of ₱168,000,000 under the FY2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA), has officially commenced. This 2-kilometer stretch will directly connect Panggangan Island to the mainland, featuring a concrete-lined canal for improved drainage and solar-powered street lighting to ensure safety and visibility at all times. This milestone has been successfully included in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) project line-up. Once completed, it is expected to boost tourism, stimulate economic activity, and significantly ease transportation for more than 6,000 residents across eight barangays. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial Government of Bohol, led by Governor Aris Aumentado, and to all partner agencies who have made this major development possible. This marks another step toward a more progressive and connected Calape. Contributed photo
