GROUNDBREAKING FOR THE ₱168M CALAPE–PANGGANGAN ROAD PROJECT. Calape Mayor Junie Yu (standing, right) said that the long-awaited Calape–Panggangan Road Project, with a total funding of ₱168,000,000 under the FY2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA), has officially commenced. This 2-kilometer stretch will directly connect Panggangan Island to the mainland, featuring a concrete-lined canal for improved drainage and solar-powered street lighting to ensure safety and visibility at all times. This milestone has been successfully included in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) project line-up. Once completed, it is expected to boost tourism, stimulate economic activity, and significantly ease transportation for more than 6,000 residents across eight barangays.
