San Miguel Mayor leads efforts to combat online sexual abuse and exploitation of children. San Miguel Mayor Ian Gil Mendez (inset, upper left corner) recently emphasized the importance of protecting children from online sexual abuse and exploitation. In this connection, on August 12, 2025, Mayor Mendez urged citizens to “Speak Up, Report, Protect” and end Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM). The mayor stressed that reporting suspicious activities can help save children from abuse, saying “If you see something—report it.
