“Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle”

at Screenville Cinemas

The most anticipated anime movie which is the first in a trilogy of films that will depict the final arc of the Demon Slayer manga, “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is still showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

Based on the “Infinity Castle” arc of the 2016–20 manga series, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” by Koyoharu Gotouge, the movie is set in the battleground between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan’s demons.

After his younger sister was turned into a demon, Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps which hunt down demons. The boy battled many demons together with his comrades and alongside with the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen.

When they are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by Muzan, they actually fall into the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle. Muzan traps Tanjiro Kamado and the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps inside. The Demon Slayers are separated and begin battling numerous powerful demons as they search and fight for Muzan.

“DEMON SLAYER: INFINITY CASTLE” is still showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

“The Conjuring: Last Rites”

at Screenville Cinemas

Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren take on one last terrifying case involving mysterious entities they must confront in the much awaited new sequel, “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” which will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, September 3, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

A sequel to “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” in 2021, and the ninth installment of “The Conjuring” film series, this new horror flick is another thrilling chapter of the iconic “Conjuring” cinematic universe, based on real events about the Smurl Haunting made by the Warrens.

The Smurl Haunting refers to claims made by Jack and Janet Smurl of West Pittston, Pennsylvania, USA, who alleged that a demon inhabited their home between 1974 and 1989.

Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reunite for one last case as renowned, real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine in a powerful and spine-chilling addition to the global box office-breaking franchise.

“THE CONJURING: LAST RITES” will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, September 3, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.    

Pink Run 2025 

Registration until Friday 

All is set for this year’s Pink Run, the most prestigious charity run organized for the fourth time in a row by the Alturas Group of Companies, through its Alay Marcela Foundation, to promote breast cancer awareness and at the same time help provide financial assistance to the cancer patients.  

          The Pink Run 2025 is open to all runners of all ages, amateur and professional, or even running enthusiasts. Categories are 5K, 10K, and 21K. The registration is now going on online until on Friday only, September 5.       

          After the successful Pink Run in 2022, 2023, and 2024, Alturas scheduled the Pink Run again this year on October 5, Sunday, starting at the Island City Mall carpark, in time for the nationwide observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October. 

          According to Alturas, there were 25 beneficiaries of the gross proceeds of Pink Run 2022, 27 from Pink Run 2023, and 32 from Pink Run last year.            

          Alturas is hoping to have more participants in the upcoming Pink Run 2025.
