TOWN NEWS-BILAR

NEWLY IMPROVED FARM-TO-MARKET ROAD IN BILAR, BOHOL OFFICIALLY TURNED OVER TO THE COMMUNITY. The turnover ceremony of the newly improved Campagao-Cabacnitan Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) in Bilar, Bohol was held on August 22, 2025. The 10.976-kilometer road was recently completed on July 25, 2025, with a total project cost of ₱187,571,624.78. The project was funded by the World Bank through the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP). Bilar Mayor Norman Palacio (4th from left) was among the officials who attended the formal turnover ceremony. The improved FMR is expected to benefit the local community by enhancing access to markets, improving transportation, and boosting economic activity. The project demonstrates the effectiveness of collaborative efforts between local government units and national agencies in delivering infrastructure projects that support rural development.
