A dystopian thriller based on the 1979 novel of the same title by master storyteller Stephen King, “The Long Walk” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
In the aftermath of a great war, America is ruled by a totalitarian regime. The military wants to boost up the morale of the entire nation by conducting an annual walking contest. The winner will be awarded whatever he wants for the rest of his life.
One hundred young boys are selected to compete. All they have to do is just maintain a steady walking pace of four miles per hour without stopping. They must keep moving, otherwise they risk getting a warning if they stop. After three warnings, the military tailing on the road will execute them on the spot.
The boys continue to walk in front of live cameras for all the citizens to see. Again, they must not fall below the required speed. That means no stopping to eat and sleep. The contest ends when only one of them remains. But the military’s enigmatic enforcer (Mark Hamill) said, “There is no finish line.”

A crew of cunning and treacherous thieves with extraordinary technical skills has the Macau police baffled, as they can evade the authorities’ state-of-the-art Eye Sky surveillance system.
Desperate and outmaneuvered, the police decide to enlist the help of a retired cyber-intelligence expert, Wong (Jackie Chan), who left the force years ago. A master of stealth, Wong forms an elite surveillance team to track down the mastermind who has evaded capture for years. Following cryptic clues through Chinatown’s night markets and rooftop alleyways, Wong must outsmart assassins, unravel conspiracies, and fight his own past.
Under the collision of traditional tracking techniques and high technology, the police and the criminals fight wits and courage in a cat-and-mouse game-like duel between good and evil.
