BALILIHAN MAYOR LEADS BAMBOO PLANTING AND OTHER INITIATIVES. Balilihan Mayor Trisha Chatto (extreme right) recently led a bamboo planting activity with the LGU family as a kick-off to the SUMAD activities. This was followed by a hybrid coconut planting initiative, with expectations that the project will yield benefits within 2-3 years. The town also hosted an LTO Caravan, advising new driver’s license holders to drive safely. Mayor Chatto also attended the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) provincial Elections, where Balilihan was also represented as one of the legal counsels. Contributed photo

BALILIHAN COUNCILOR PUSHES FOR CASH ASSISTANCE TO ALS STUDENTS. Balilihan Councilor Pureza Veloso-Chatto (extreme, right) is drafting a proposed ordinance to grant cash assistance to Alternative Learning System (ALS) students enrolled in Technical Vocational Training Centers outside the Province of Bohol. This was discussed during the September 18, 2025 SB Committee on Education Meeting, where Veloso-Chatto serves as Chairperson.
