Cristal e-College student named one of Top 10 Outstanding Maritime Students in Philippines

Gabriel “Gab” Bernalte, a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation student from Cristal e-College, was named one of the Top 10 Most Outstanding Maritime Students of the Philippines during ceremonies held Sept. 28, 2025 at the ALU-APSU-ITF Building in Cubao, Quezon City.

Bernalte, a resident of Bilar, Bohol, received the honor as part of the TOMSP 2025 awards, which recognize excellence among maritime students nationwide.

The recognition grants him membership in the TOMSP Alumni Community, a network of emerging leaders in the maritime industry.

The announcement came during Cristal e-College’s Maritime Week celebration, held Sept. 22-26, 2025, which featured competitions, cultural performances and sports events designed to develop teamwork, leadership and camaraderie among maritime students.

Crystal e-College officials said the achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to producing competent, globally competitive maritime graduates.

The Philippines is one of the world’s leading suppliers of seafarers, with Filipino sailors comprising a big portion of the global maritime workforce.

Cristal e-College offers maritime education programs aimed at preparing students for careers in the international shipping industry.
