Bluewater continues with promos despite downturn
Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort has been pushing for its promos despite the tourism down turn.
Key officials of Bluewater were the guests in Newsmakers ug Uban Pa on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, including Greg Dennis Madanguit, marketing communications director, Lhenny Esguerra, Banquet Sales Manager and Chona Maguyon, Senior Account Manager.
Esguerra said the resort is still pushing for its promos despite the downward trend.
She said the resort is blessed because it has plenty of events and group of people staying at the resort.
The resort is busy informing the public about the promos and offerings so they can try what the resort can offer.
It has been reported that the entire country is suffering from a downturn in tourism and it is evident with the decline in the Koreans visiting the country’s Most of the tourists from abroad visiting Panglao is from Korea.
Esquerra said this month the resort is offering to local tourists by providing a special rate for the rooms. The promo will last until the end of month.
Next month, the resort offers promos for teachers. The rate is only P1,000 per head including the use of facilities exclusive in the venue, and those who would avail will get surprises.
Esquerra said the resort wants to make the teachers feel special and thus they get special promos and they can relax and enjoy some time or holiday.
The package will start from October 1, 2025 to Dec. 28, 2025, offering exclusive lunch or dinner buffet for teachers, with one round of drink, and free use of facilities and resort activities.
They can use the non-motorized water sports for free, such as snorkelling and kayaking and a freebies such as a raffle for an overnight stay.
Then the resort will be busy for the New Year, she said, adding the venue can be at Mamagat Hall or Kawayanan Hall or Mamsa Meeting Room or Mangahan Hall or Tanaman Hall or the hall by the shore.
The promo for teachers is unique as the minimum number of guests can be just 20 as the usual of 30 guests before the resort can offer a buffet.
The promo is open for groups of teachers but there is a day use promo for individual teachers with a special rate of P800 per person from P1,000 and the P800 is consumable.
The minimum number of teachers in a group is 20 in order to avail of the promo. The teachers may use the facilities for four hours.
The children of teachers may also be subject to resort policies as long as they are in the group. of teachers.
For group bookings, the resort requires a 50 percent deposit. As they can reschedule, says Maguyon.
Madanguit said September is among the lean months of the year and he hopes the trend reverses at the last quarter.
The raffle promo for an overnight stay will be for the group as a whole, says Esquerra.
