TUBIGON, BOHOL – A Bol-anon vlogger previously featured as an endorser for Rep. Baba Yap’s congressional campaign was arrested in a drug sting operation that seized 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine or shabu worth P68,000 pesos, police said.
Mark Angelo Abucejo, 25, known online as “Gegel” and associated with Turo Family, was apprehended Oct. 15, 2025 in Barangay Macaas after allegedly selling drugs to an undercover officer, according to the Tubigon Police Station.
Police said they began monitoring Abucejo after he broadcast illegal drug activity on social media, igniting public outrage and prompting the Municipal Drug Enforcement Team to act.
Turo Family had been featured as a vlogger endorser for Yap, then a congressional candidate and now Bohol’s representative in Congress.
Officers confiscated 13 sachets of suspected methamphetamine from Abucejo, including one allegedly sold during the operation.
Police also recovered buy-bust money and a motorcycle.
Abucejo remains in police custody and faces charges under Republic Act 9165 for drug sale and possession.

CORELLA — Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit officers seized approximately 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine valued at 340,000 pesos from Jimboy Ubay, 39, of Baclayon during an Oct. 11 sting in Barangay Tanday. Police said the drugs originated from Abuyog, Leyte.
TAGBILARAN CITY — Officers arrested Jed Buma-at, 24, a former detainee on carnapping charges, and confiscated 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine worth 340,000 pesos in Barangay Dao on Oct. 14.
TALIBON — About 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine valued at 68,000 pesos were seized from a suspect identified only as “Ron” during an Oct. 15 operation in Barangay San Pedro.
BOOL — Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents confiscated approximately 25 grams of suspected methamphetamine worth 170,000 pesos from Francis Osio, 45, a former detainee from Loboc, during an Oct. 16 buy-bust operation.
DIMIAO — Police arrested a 26-year-old suspect known as “Dodong” and seized 0.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine valued at 6,000 pesos in Barangay Balbalan on Oct. 15.
TRINIDAD — Regional Mobile Force Battalion-7 officers executing a search warrant seized two unlicensed firearms and 5 grams of suspected drugs worth 34,000 pesos from a 33-year-old farmer’s home in Poblacion on Oct. 13.
All suspects face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Armed Robbery
DAUIS — Police arrested a 39-year-old suspect following the armed robbery of a burger stand in Barangay Totolan on Oct. 13.
The suspect, identified only as “Joey” from Tubigon, allegedly used an airgun to rob a 29-year-old attendant.
Officers recovered the weapon and motorcycle left at the scene.
