Land Bank opens new branch in Carmen, Bohol

The Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) opened a new branch here Monday, expanding banking services to Boholanos and surrounding towns.

The branch at Poblacion Norte, located beside Carmen Municipal College, held its soft opening Oct. 27, 2025 with LGU officials and stakeholders in attendance.

The facility is expected to begin full operations in the coming days.

Carmen Mayor Che Toribio Delos Reyes and Sierra Bullones Mayor Michael Doria attended the ceremony along with Land Bank branch manager Venus and other LGU government officials.

The branch offers standard banking services including account opening, deposits, withdrawals and ATM access.

LandBank officials said the facility will serve local farmers, students, government employees, business owners and other residents.

LandBank, the government’s financial institution for agriculture and rural development, has been expanding its presence in rural areas as part of its mandate to promote financial inclusion.

The government-owned bank provides financing for agrarian reform beneficiaries and agricultural development projects while offering commercial banking services.

The new branch is expected to improve access to banking services for residents who previously had to travel to Tagbilaran City for their banking needs.
