Showing  the true spirit of  Christmas, Tagbilaran City employees bring joy to daycare kids in need

Employees of the City Government of Tagbilaran set aside their usual office Christmas parties and instead carried out a simultaneous Christmas outreach activity for daycare pupils across the city on December 19, 2025, in a unified show of compassion and public service.

The initiative, announced by Mayor Jane Yap in November, was undertaken in response to the series of typhoons that caused widespread damage and hardship in several neighboring provinces.

The Mayor emphasized the importance of redirecting traditional celebrations toward meaningful acts of service, particularly for vulnerable sectors such as children.

Mayor Yap said the outreach reflected the true spirit of Christmas, noting that while the season is a time for joy and celebration, it is also a time to extend help to those in need.

She underscored that the activity aimed to bring comfort and happiness to daycare pupils who may have been affected by the recent calamities.

During the simultaneous outreach, city government employees were deployed to their assigned daycare centers throughout Tagbilaran City, where they facilitated simple games and activities, and distributed gifts and food packs to the children.

Through this collective effort, the City Government of Tagbilaran was able to spread holiday cheer while making a meaningful impact on the lives of its youngest constituents.
