yra Monica Bual Damalerio, a young and determined lady, has finally achieved her dream of becoming a lawyer after passing the 2025 Bar examinations. As the daughter of former Provincial Administrator Alfonso “Ae” Damalerio and wife, Ver Damalerio, Syra’s success is a concrete record of her hard work and dedication.
Growing up in a family of lawyers, Syra was inspired to follow in their footsteps. Her grandfather, Alfonso Sr., uncle Abel, great uncle Adriano, and distant cousins Rendan and Eileen Damalerio Rule are all lawyers, making her achievement even more special.
Syra credits her success to her discipline, good support system, and unwavering faith in herself and God’s plan. “I was more disciplined than before and I managed my time well,” she shared. “I focused on how to answer the Bar questions, and it paid off.”
Syra’s journey wasn’t easy, though. It was not a bed of roses according to her. But she faced all that challenges and the setbacks especially with the support of her parents mentors, friends, and most of all, the Almighty Father “I felt a huge relief upon seeing my name on the screen as the Supreme Court released the results on Jan. 7, 2026,” Syra said.
She’s grateful for the support she received from her family, the Bar operations people, and her mentors, including Atty. Mara Robles Fabro. Looking ahead, Syra is excited to sign the Roll of Attorneys on Feb. 6, 2026, at the Philippine Arena and explore opportunities in the court system.
She’s interested in sharing with and giving back her blessings to the community but hasn’t yet decided on a specific career path in legal scene. “I want to gain more experience first before I form my own law office,” she said.
