Bohol Water Utilities to crack down on delinquent accounts

Bohol Water Utilities Inc. (BWUI) will start its campaign to disconnect the lines of delinquent consumers from the water distribution system.

He mentioned this during his guest appearance on Jan. 7, 2026 on Newsmakers ug Uban Pa.

BWUI reminds consumers to follow the payment schedule to avoid inconvenience and the possibility of getting disconnected.

Tambis said consumers need to settle the bill on or before the due date indicated on the bill.

He said consumers need to settle the water bill not later than the due date to avoid any inconvenience.

He said BWUI, in 2026, will be focusing on the disconnection of delinquent consumers especially those with pending balances within two months.

Tambis said disconnection may occur after the due date if there is a balance due running for a couple of months.

A notice of disconnection is sent to the consumer with the bill that remains unsettled for two months.

BWUI urges the public to follow their monthly obligation by promptly paying the water bill.

Tambis said if a consumer applies for reconnection, there is a reconnection charge of P360 to settle the due amount including the surcharge.

The public is urged to pay monthly to avoid increasing charges reflected on the bill.

Consumers may settle the bill at the office of BWUI which is open from 8 am to 5 pm with no noon break from Monday to Friday.

Payments are accepted in banks including First Consolidated Bank, Landbank, Bank of Commerce, and Security Bank.

GCash payments are accepted as well as payments made at FCB Pay, Palawan Express, M Lhuilier, and Paymaya accredited outlets.
