Police arrested two individuals and confiscated an estimated 10,285.60 grams of suspected shabu valued at nearly P69.9 million in a buy-bust operation Tuesday, authorities said.
The operation, which took place around 11:06 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2026, in Barangay Dampas, represents the largest drug haul in the province since the start of the year.
Arrested were Felix Gallogo, 39, a single resident of Purok 4, Barangay Canmanico, Valencia, Bohol, also known as “Babals”; and Leonie Lambuson, 47, a married native of Calaca-an, Iloilo City, currently residing on Magdaong Drive in Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Provincial Intelligence Unit under the direct supervision of Police Colonel Patricio Degay Jr., the provincial director. It was witnessed by Barangay Dampas council members Peter Pancha and Titus Goloso, along with members of the media.
Police said the operation was launched after receiving information that the suspects were selling illegal drugs while inside a white Isuzu MU-X vehicle.
A police poseur-buyer, with backup teams, purchased one package of suspected shabu for P100,000.
Upon completion of the transaction, the suspects were apprehended.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded nine more large packages of suspected shabu contained in a large eco-bag.
The total seized drugs have an estimated standard street value of P69,942,080.
Police are preparing charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165).
