Literatus, Jr. (inset, upper right corner) bared that the Local Government Unit of Loon conducted a three-day basic training on Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) and Internally Displaced Person Protection (IDPP) for the municipality’s 67 barangay captains and representatives from local departmental offices. Facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO), in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VII (DSWD FO-7), the training boosted the participants’ proficiency and capability in managing evacuation centers, ensuring coordinated humanitarian response, and safeguarding the rights, dignity, and safety of internally displaced persons during emergencies.
