Bohol Water Utilities Inc. (BWUI) warns consumers about the negative effects of non-payment of the monthly water bills.
Victor Tambis of BWUI explained that consumers are obligated to settle the monthly bill, as water is a prime need of any consumer and failure to settle the bill may result in disconnection and loss of water service.
Settling the bill means the consumer will continue enjoying the water service without any interruptions.
Tambis said BWUI may disconnect the water service after two months from non-payment of the water bill.
This policy, Tambis said, is indicated in the service contract signed by the consumer upon application of water service connection immediately prior to said connection.
One will experience the hassle of the loss of water service connection if this connection will be stopped due to the consumer’s failure to pay his water bill on time
Reconnection of water service will be done after the consumer shall have paid the reconnection fee including payment of the total unpaid balance.
The consumers are reminded to settle the bill promptly at the BWUI office during office hours from Monday to Friday.
Payments are also accepted at payment partners such as First Consolidated Bank, Land Bank, Bank of Commerce, and Security Bank as well as at some e-wallet platforms like GCash, FCB Pay, Palawan Express, M Lhuiller, and Paymaya which are the accredited payment outlets of BWUI.
