Balilihan Councilor Pureza Veloso-Chatto (left) bared that on Feb. 19, 2026, the Sangguniang Bayan Regular Session was held with her as the presiding officer. She said: “Vice Mayor Lorenzo Baliong Jr is on an official travel in Manila. With the authority of the Sangguniang Bayan, I presided over the session today! Communications from the LCE were read, the Municipal Budget Officer, Ms Carol Hinay presented for adoption the MDC-approved endorsement of Supplemental Investment Program (SIP) 1 for CY 2026. A number of Barangay resolutions were referred to the Committee on Review; a number of resolutions were approved; and approved on third and final reading the ordinance ‘An Ordinance Establishing an Integrated Community-based Fruit Seed Collection Program for the Municipal Plant Nursery and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) – Led Barangay Fruit Tree Nurseries in the Municipality of Balilihan’ authored by Maria Pureza Veloso Chatto and sponsored by Hon Abel Eligio Llorente, Chair SB Committee on Agriculture.” (Contributed photo)
